Workshop@home crafts: DIY Lip Scrub

Running out of your favorite lip scrub but can’t get out to the store? No worries, because for today’s Workshop@Home project, I’ll be guiding you through the process of making your own lip scrub that feels and smells amazing with supplies and ingredients you can find around the house. I got the idea for this project from one of my favorite crafting blogs, diyjoy.com, so head over there if you want more cute and easy-to-do crafting ideas!

Materials List

  • Vanilla extract
  • Food coloring
  • Granulated sugar
  • Olive oil
  • Empty container

Instructions

1. Take your bowl and pour in ½ teaspoon of olive oil and ½ teaspoon of granulated sugar. Mix well.

2. Next, add in a drop of vanilla extract, mixing it with the sugar and the olive oil.

3. From there, you’ll add 1-2 drops of food coloring into the mixture. Lighter is better since the food coloring might temporarily stain your lips (although if you’re looking to add a little color to your lips you can ignore that last tip). Again mix well and let it sit for a bit.

4. Put the scrub mixture into the container then try it out! You’ve now got you’re very own personalized lip balm scrub!
