So, what’s the latest with the Digital Studios?
Well let’s see, last week we did upgrade our Adobe software to the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, so I guess that’s pretty cool!
Adobe’s collection of professional image, audio, and video applications would normally run you $50 a month, but now you have free access with your library card when you book time in the Digital Studios at Cook Park or Aspen Drive!
What’s included in the Adobe Creative Cloud?
Funny you should ask. Coincidentally, I put together this nifty list that I pulled from the Adobe website:
Photoshop – image editing and compositing
Lightroom – Digital photo processing and editing
Ilustrator – Vector graphics and illustration
InDesign – Page design and layout for print and digital publishing
Acrobat Pro DC – Create, edit and sign PDF documents and forms
Experience Design (Preview) – Design and prototype user experiences. Formerly Project Comet.
Premiere Pro – Video production and editing
After Effects – Cinematic visual effects and motion graphics
Animate – Flash Professional is now Adobe Animate CC. Interactive animations for multiple platforms.
Dreamweaver – Web and mobile design
Adobe Muse – Website design without coding
Fuse (Preview) – Create custom 3D characters for Photoshop projects
Adobe Audition – Audio recording, mixing, and restoration
Bridge – Centralize your creative assets
Flash Builder – IDE for coding Flash apps and mobile device packaging
InCopy – Collaborate with copywriters and editors
Prelude – Metadata ingest, logging, and rough cuts
Adobe Media Encoder – Quickly output video files for virtually any screen
Adobe Spark – Easily create and share impactful visual stories – in minutes
Scout – Profile flash games on web and devices
SpeedGrade – Film finishing and color grading
Story Plus – Collaborative screenwriting, reporting, and scheduling tool
And if you’re wondering how you could possibly learn to use all of these tools, don’t forget you can get a lot of help through your free library access to Lynda.com.
See you in the studio!
