Public libraries have begun expanding the kinds of materials they make available for check-out. Some lend gardening tools, novelty baking pans, or fishing poles. Here at Cook Memorial we have taken a more high tech approach to expanding what we lend. In conjunction with the new Digital Studios at both our Cook Park and Aspen Drive locations, we now have the following equipment available for 3-day check-out to patrons 14 and older with a valid CMPLD card in good standing:

Bring your library card to the Reference Desk at Aspen or the Lower Level Reference Desk at Cook Park to check these items out.

What can you do with them? Here are just a few ideas:

• Strap on a GoPro Hero while sightseeing, skiing, skating or riding a roller coaster to capture (hands free) an amazing, digital video of your experience.
• Enhance your next school project with a digital video or slide show.
• Set the camcorder on the tripod and record yourself rehearsing for an interview or a speech so you can see the strengths and weaknesses of your presentation.

What else can you think of? The sky’s the limit – hey, how about skydiving with a GoPro? Wow!
